Stamp Club coming to Stevensville

At the crop there was a lot of interest in starting a Stamp Club for the girls out in the Stevensville area.

We would have the club meet on the 3rd Saturday of each month it runs (depending on the number of people who sign up) at Country Scrappin'. Cost would be a 1 time fee of $25, plus each member would have to order $20 each month. Each member would take turns playing hostess so everyone would get a chance for hostess bene's. Children are welcome, but please they should be 14 yrs or older so they can follow along more easily.

There are 8 spots open. If you would be interested please contact myself or Donna (just leave a comment on this post or give her a ring at the store). I'll be sending out an email after the 1st of the year with all the details.

Merry Christmas & Digital Scrappin

Hi,

Wanted to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas. Thanks for the great season at the store for those of you that shop with me. Couldn't make it without you all.
Have a great web site for you all to check out! It is run by a friend of mine and he has a wonderful web site with lots and lots of downloads :
actionfx.com
Tried to download a direct link but it isn't working for me. So much for computer literacy, what can I say.

The last few days have been busy and we had a major issue occur in addition. Our faithful family dog Lucy was hit by a car. Thank God she is ok, minus a broken leg. Thank goodness for our Vet and the specialist that came in from Whitefish. She is now on the mend with a plate in her leg to assist her in healing faster and better mobility. Many of you know her since she comes to the store with me often. From now own you will be seeing more of her because I am going to keep her with me every second. She is not getting out of my site. Her being here with me is one of the best Christmas presents ever!

Now that I have bored you, need to remind you all that the store is closed till January 7th. We will be having a small crop on the day after Christmas from 10 AM -4 PM. If you are really interested in signing up there is one spot left. You must contact me by email. The cost is $25.00 and includes lunch and snacks. I will be checking Christmas evening and will email you with a response.

Look forward to a big big sale day coming when we reopen on the 7th of January.
Have a wonderful, safe and Happy Christmas.

Updates/ Ideas

The days are just flying past. I had to run to the grocery store and was surprised to see all the Holiday stuff out in the front of the store! Guess, I don't get to the grocery store to often 't and I am telling you something you didn't know but I was sure taken back. Then it hit me, yeah

Thanksgiving is Thursday. Like I really did need to be reminded.

Well their are some major things going on in the store and I wanted to keep you all up to date.
Needless to say I will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and also on Black Friday. Saturday will be Black Saturday for Country Scrappin. WE WILL BE HAVING A STORE WIDE SALE! Make sure to come by. Look for more messages via email if you are registered with the store or check out the Blog site if not.

The other thing I wanted to tell you about involves some web sites I have been visiting as of late. One site is owned by a friend of mine Al he is extremely talented and is a digital artist. He has this fantastic web site that you can go to and join. He not only gives you great downloads he has created but also allows you to use them. Check out his site it is : www://actionfx.com.
If your into digital that is the place to go. While I am on the subject of digital, one of my customers came in the store the other day for epson 12 x 12 copies of her scrapbook. The results were absolutely amazing! She was very pleased and so was I. She hadn't told me that she scrapbooked digitally and as I was printing up her beautiful pages I began to look real close at them. That is when I thought they might be digital. It about blew me away. In any case if you do digital and you need to print them out for what ever reason, come by and give my store a shot at printing out your copies.

Other sites that I recommend are: VintageCollage- get some free vintage pictures, scrapbooksetc.com- has a lot of holiday ideas going on, check them frequently.
Bye for now,
Donna

Busy Saturday in Stevi!

Today we had 2 classes at our store- and what fun we had!! First was the coupon book and at 2pm we had the Recipe Album. So many papers and people in the crop room! Always a mix for fun and good times!

What made it even more fun was that we had scrappers of all levels- including one who was brand new to scrapping and to our store! Sue, we hope you had a wonderful time at both classes!!

Classes are in the works for December already. With a request that I come in during the week. Since that is hard for me to do, but I do show up for 1st Friday's- we will try having a class during Open Crop. A flat $5 fee plus cost of your supplies. Stay tuned to see what December 5th's class will be like!

13 November 2008

ACRYLIC ALBUMS

In reading my mail this weekend I occurred to me that you all may want to check out a site that does some wonderful things with acrylic albums.  Many come into the store and are not sure what to do with them.  Hence they don't purchase them.  These albums are so great the let your imagination go wild since you can create designs on two sides, plus more!

Go to this site and check out what they are doing for inspiration.

Thanksgiving Card Making Day

Do you still need to create those Thanksgiving Cards ?  If so, come to the class on Tuesday November 11Th at 2 pm.  Create 5 cards for $10.00 that they'll love.  Forget spending all that money on cards at the local card store.  Everyone can do it !  Look for the upcoming Holiday class also coming in early December to asst you and save you $$$.   Everyone on your list will feel special!

Last Week

Last week was a very, very, busy week for us all.  Not only did you we have election day but we also had the  Wednesday night class were we made two pages for our scrap books and Friday night was First Friday and open Crop Night.   We had a house full of scrapers and stayed until 12 midnight.  We had lots of fun ! and also accomplished much. Thanks for coming and making the evening event full.

Are you ready for Thanksgiving?

Hi,

Is everyone ready for Turkey Day?  In asking this did you get your cards done for those near and dear to you.  I know with the internet it is some what tempting to send an email but for me and a lot of my friends and relatives this is not a personal note of communication.  It is so much better to make the card so they can see what you have done and it really shows them that they mean a lot to me.  It really only takes a few minuets more and demonstrates that you took the time to make something for them.  Sometimes those little mementos make a very big difference.  So I am repeating the card class from last Tuesday to the eleventh of November at 2 PM till 4 PM.  If you intend on coming please give me a call in the morning so I have all the kits ready.  As always bring in your ruler, paper cutter, adhesive.

Another two great classes are going to be this coming Saturday.  They are the coupon book and the recipe clipboard and folder.  It occurred to me that some of you may think well I don't need a coupon book or recipe clipboard folder.  Well these books can also be named or made into another type of book just by altering the name and purpose.  So think of all those gifts you need to get yet and think about how they may work for someone you know.

Make a Digital Book!

\Hi everyone,

The week has flown by again and my days off are over.  It seems that those few days off go by so fast.  I am back to normal and the store is filled with lot of crafting items for Christmas and the fall & Winter also.

Digital books are making a big hit for the holidays and are great for gift giving.  They save you time and present a long lasting gift for your family and friends.

Scrapbook Etc. has come out with an absolutely wonderful book.  I have written about this before but feel it deserves at minim a second mention.  If you haven't check it out go to the following URL:

                             http://stories.scrapbooketc.com/
Check out the following NEW digital book by choosing:
                        " We are Family"

    My stores Code: 373UJV5XRT
if you wish to save shipping and handling charges you use the above code,
Create your book , and I will contact you when it comes into the store for you to pick it up.

correction of previous blog note:
As previously mentioned in another article in my blog I said that Scrap book etc. was a division of Good Housekeeping Magazine but I was incorrect it is actually a division of Better Homes and Garden Magazine.  I just love this magazine and truly believe that is one of the best magazines for scrapbooking available on the market today.

Stop by the store and see the example of the book that I have to see the quality hands on is so much better than what the pictures show in the adds.

Get your holiday gifts done soon so that you'll have time to enjoy the days with your family and friends.

Really check it out!!  D

Notes of what is happening

Today was boring, home ill and slept most of the day. Now feeling somewhat better and wanted to get some blogging out to you all. I have been posting some sites and different goodies that I found of interest and thought you might. Hope you have enjoyed them.

Have some really great note pads in the store that make the neatest cards. They are from Crafty Secreats a favorite company of mine. Thought I would include a picture of some of the outsides of these cards and their web site so you can see some of the other great products. I do carry a lot of there products, just ask me when you come in.I have created a great book. It is to hold cards. If you are looking for some inexpensive holiday gift ideas it is really neat even if I did create it myself. I made it for my Sister in law as a Birthday present but sure would like to have one of my own. That leads me to the Idea of makeing it a class in early November. This ways if you see the picture and like it too you can come and create one with me out of the papers that you like. It is a good organizational tool to keep all of your home made cards in.

Weekly update.

Well tonight was the first class of the 8 week scrap booking class.  With Fall just around the corner the two pages we made tonight will assist these class members in scraping some of the pictures from this summer.

I am now the owner of two wonderful miniature horses.  Their names are Firefly and Buttercup and they are just beautiful.  I have been spending all my extra time establishing a relationship with them.  As soon as I get some pictures I will post them.  Oh, I also forgot to mention that Buttercup is pregnant and will have another addition in April.  I am so excited !

If your in the area stop by and see them.

Bye for now,
Donna

JUST BECAUSE

It's late and I realized that I have not written anything on the blog in days so here it goes.

This weekend in the Creamery Picnic. Town should be busy during the parade and empty once everyone goes to the Park. Since it is going to be warm and sunny Melissa came up with the idea to instruct several classes during the day. I thought it was a great idea since you could leave the family for a little while, cool down and create something while still attending the picnic.

So come on in to the store on Saturday and sign up for a class! Or just come on by and say hello!
The first class starts at 10:30, will post the other times tomorrow.

Hope to see you soon.

A fun night was had by all. We celebrated Cinco de Mayo at the same time by eating Mexican which was made by Bunny E. and was absolutely fantastic!

Much laughter and discussions transpired while I taught one class and the gang rose up to the occasion. Sale continued today- Saturday.

See you all on Tuesday. Have a great weekend.

NSD was a blast!

What fun we had at our National Scrapbook Day CROP!!! Ladies started arriving early to claim their spots- and the fun started right away! The first challenge was to create a name tag- within the first 60 minutes of arriving- out of a rake none the less! Everyone was frantic when time was called- but everyone did a FABULOUS job! There was a spinning wheel o' prizes, pages challenges, and a nifty envelope bag mini class.

And who doesn't love a sale?! Everyone had a great time with the sales- and finidng odds and ends to complete projects. Don't forget, should you need to order a Quickutz die (or tool, stamp, etc, etc) let me know! I order from the regularly! Plus, there is the New Quickutz Bonus Club! For just $25.00 a year, you can get 20% off all your Quickutz purchases!

At the end of the night, we called it quits. We shared humorous stories, finished sentimental layouts, had heart to hearts. Raved over yummy Mexican dishes, snacked on ice cream cake & guacamole.

It was a crop success!! We hope to see you next year!
