COPIC marker's: why you should want them too!

Donna is thinking about putting a COPIC MARKER club together. If you haven't heard of COPIC's before, then click on the above link.

THEY ARE AWESOME.

They are also something that every card maker should want to call their own. Really. I promise, and I don't lie. Those of you who have taken one of my classes know- I tell it like it is.
If you haven't taken one of my classes- that's another story. (I'll be returning to teaching more in April.) But, trust me- these are markers/pens you want to add to your stash- more so if you do primarily cards.

Here are some examples of what COPIC MARKER's can do to your cards. Didn't I tell you it was a "WOW" factor?!

YESTERDAY CARD CLUB CLASS

The card class was yesterday.  I wanted to let Mel know that we all had a great time.  I really enjoyed the book we made.   It was just fantastic.  Thank you Mel, great job!

 We talked earlier, prior to class about Copic pens (Mel and I).  I used them at CHA and fell in love with them.  For those of you that don't know about them they are fantastic.  I am having a hard time stocking them, because I blew my budget on papers and stamps, but am trying to find a way to have you get some.  These pens are refillable, and you can replace the tips.  So it is a one time thing,  very green friendly.  We have way to much plastic in the world without recycling and keeping down the cost.  What a great idea.  I will keep you up to date on what I plan to do, in the mean time check out copic.com and check them out.  They make card making a whole new experience.

Have got to get some sleep, it is almost 2 am and my mind hast to to rest.

Stevi Stamp Club

This Saturday, 2/21/09 at 2pm we will the stamp club. There are still a couple open spots still. This is the LAST chance to sign up. Please contact Donna (info on the side bar) before Friday. This is to ensure Mel makes up enough kits.

======================
Details:

We would have the club meet on the 3rd Saturday of each month it runs (depending on the number of people who sign up) at Country Scrappin'. Cost would be a 1 time fee of $25, plus each member would have to order $20 each month. Each member would take turns playing hostess so everyone would get a chance for hostess bene's. Children are welcome, but they should be 14 yrs or older so they can follow along more easily. No more than 12 members. If we need to, we can start a 2nd club.

=======================

Please make sure you have your basic stampin/scrapping kit with you. This would include, trimmer, scissors, marking utensils, adhesives, etc.

10 November 2008

Are you ready for Thanksgiving?

Hi,

Is everyone ready for Turkey Day?  In asking this did you get your cards done for those near and dear to you.  I know with the internet it is some what tempting to send an email but for me and a lot of my friends and relatives this is not a personal note of communication.  It is so much better to make the card so they can see what you have done and it really shows them that they mean a lot to me.  It really only takes a few minuets more and demonstrates that you took the time to make something for them.  Sometimes those little mementos make a very big difference.  So I am repeating the card class from last Tuesday to the eleventh of November at 2 PM till 4 PM.  If you intend on coming please give me a call in the morning so I have all the kits ready.  As always bring in your ruler, paper cutter, adhesive.

Another two great classes are going to be this coming Saturday.  They are the coupon book and the recipe clipboard and folder.  It occurred to me that some of you may think well I don't need a coupon book or recipe clipboard folder.  Well these books can also be named or made into another type of book just by altering the name and purpose.  So think of all those gifts you need to get yet and think about how they may work for someone you know.
